More than a nerf I'd suggest the possibility for BE to make pets comparable to Wampas, in the meant of HAM and Defenses. It would also give the possibility to CHs to increase the variety of pets usable and not only sticking to Wampas, and in the meanwhile making a BE useful for pets also.
