Hello, I recently came from basilisk to join a few guildies who started here, and enjoying it. My guildie hit Jedi padawan a weekish ago, and confirmed to me that this method still works here. Meeting new, and great people here they were unaware of some of these efficient grind methods. So I thought I share some of the knowledge with everyone. On basilisk I finished a Jedi template in 35ish hours straight on a weekend from fresh padawan to complete template as a challenge / speed runner; as I did it twice and beat my record on the second time, and they did not have 2x jedi exp or 5x exp there; so I imagine it be much faster here. How did I do this? I'll gladly share with you, but will require some set up. I also did speak with a CSR about this method, and as it existed in SWG live with SOE running it, and said he doesn't see why I wouldn't be able to do this method here.
So if you just unlocked Jedi and dreading the start part of the grind without novice LS, or LS skills don't worry! This method will speed that up tremendously, and not be a huge headache! So lets get started!!
Template
You have 2 options to be your grinding template for starting, and continue as your progression to a finished temp.
-444x fencer / 4xx4 CM / 24 skill points
-x3x4 TK ( minimum )/ 4xx4 CM / 24 skill points
personally I did both, and I like the fencer better. If i remember I had to surrender a tree, and relearn after i learned dervish but had 900k banked of one-handed exp, after dropping some CM. However, It is up to you both work fine. Also have a doctor alt, or friend who has a doctor just in case you die.
Also make sure your stat migrations are maxed, or even in health, action, and mind.
Gear / Food
food:
Everything should be low fill preferably.
-Pikata pie (dodge )
-vegasparine ( melee def )
-citris snowcake (accuracy )
-thunder bluff (ranged def )
-brandy ( if you feel you need it )
-wafers ( dmg reduction used towards the end ).
Optional is thakatilo ( KD defense food ).
medical:
poisons health A, B, C
mind poison ( any strong mind poisons for pesky BH's )
stims to heal yourself.
gear:
until you reach dervish you'll be using a mini suit of comp armor, and any taped clothing of melee, ranged, states defense etc. tapes are not required, and are just a luxury.
Grind method:
So now that we got our consumables, gear, and build set up how do we grind? well you have two options you can grind creatures / non-humanoids, or you can grind NPC's. non-humanoids creatures are this generally slower experience per hour. However, you don't have to worry about bounty hunters if you are careful, and don't get visibility, or if you want faster exp per hour then NPC's are the way to go its a toss up of pros and cons and what fits for you.
NON-NPC:
you can do missions, but generally the bigger pulls the better so a voritor, squill, or any largely populated area's with creatures, or caves are best for this. You can also do these on missions its just really slow, but still faster than without CM.
NPC
This will require 3 PVE bases ( tactical bases ), a medium square house ( no round. Naboo medium house is what i used ), and a squad leader. We used rebel bases on bas as they didn't have any walkers, but imperial bases were still doable.
you can have the bases in a triangle set up 2 bases next to each other facing the same way, and 1 base symmetrical divided evenly facing the 2 bases. You can also space it out a bit, and arrange it to where the house is in the center, or have it off to the side. The squad leader should be placed up top the balcony so you can get that burst run + defenses. On Bas i had 5 BH's hold my mission so i could grind freely for 2 days as I primarily grind on faction bases, and its the most popular type of grind on basilisk for Jedi, and non Jedi since its way faster than missions as 1 entire pull is 900k / 300k combat experience on basilisk easy
grind / pulling.
Ok so now that we have our character setups, and locations done. How do we get an insane amount of exp per hour? I primarily used bases so i will be emphasizing more on this in the guide, but concept should still remain the same elsewhere, but you can pull, and gather the entire cave, POI faction facilities, or bases of mobs. After we rounded them all up we will LOS around the house, or if you are in the cave around a corner. After everything is rounded up while you have your lightsaber equiped throw your poisons! I usually do 2-3 rotations of each just in case some get resisted. Now we just sit, and wait for the poisons to tick the mobs down to 1 HP! Once they are withered down to 1 HP you switch to your 1h weapon, or unarmed, and do a spin attack. You will gain full / maximum Jedi experience!!!!, and no combat medic, 1h, or unarmed experience. Now you loot, or wait around, or sit around in a house for re-spawns, and go again!
3 full base pulls = 200-250k Jedi exp which equals 1m-1.4mish per hour on basilisk. here it would be double that! You can also get a good amount of credits, crystals, locked containers, tapes, chance at dot weapons that you can liquidate later for credits on a vendor if you want to take the time to loot, and a ton of faction points on top this.
However, this was just one set of bases. We had 3-4 base set ups on the map as close to each other in a square. So as soon as you collected your experience you move on to the next base, and so on in a circle without wasting time on downtime with waiting for re-spawns, and looting; unless you had someone just stick around and loots everything while you move on. This will definitely increase your experience per hour. I had a friend who blazed through a build in one day using tier 4 PVE bases, and holds the speed record of completing Jedi in a day ( don't pull these with your Jedi you'll get rekt read trouble shooting )
Progression
You pretty much use the combat medic method up until dervish. Then you can drop combat medic, and medic as you need to. so once you lightsaber xx4x, you go craft yourself a 3rd gen saber, then go for LS xx44. After that I usually xxx4 healer cause the blind is a pain when pulling bases, you can also pick up the novices boxes as well since dropping combat medic / medic / marksman frees up a lot of points. Then i proceed to 4xx4 healer. Then at this point you can go for MLS, or if you are going a healer support build with a non MLS build you can go for m.enchancer. Where it starts getting hard is at this point when you have to start dropping your melee, and ranged defense which makes your pikata pie useless then you resort to pulling 1 base at a time, or see trouble shooting method.
This layout is primarily for bases so if you are doing missions, or other type of methods your progression needs may vary differently, and adjust as needed.
Troubleshooting
If you are struggling before having to drop your tk, or fencer defenses with all the foods up, and spiking to blind + KD. Then use this macro. to cycle the dervish AOE for the blind for extra Survivability while pulling, gathering them up before your reach the house.
/ui action targetSelf;
/pause .50;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/saberPolearmDervish;
/macro Dervish;
If you are struggling, and dying after dropping your defenses, or wanting to pull Tier 4 bases. Get yourself a beefy pikeman stacker with a polearm that is 0 damage or close as possible to 0 damage; as you do not want to leech exp. sample skeleton build: m.pikeman / 444x fencer / TKM or x3x4 tk / xx4x pistoleer, and some medic if you feel you need heals. You use the pikeman to pull for you while your Jedi is around corner at the houses with the macro going. You as the mobs stack up you can use the macro listed above, and dizzy + KD with the pike or Jedi dizzy and pull 3 this way.
Village Experience Grind!
So after speaking with some people apparently this method isn't really well known, or used as much on this server, but I used it and drastically shorten the amount of time to gain FS exp for 6 trees (24 boxes) on bas, and here; and a lot of my guildies who just started are using this method on SR, and astonished how much faster it is here with tents and exp bonuses. I pulled in 1m-1.3m force sensitive combat / reflex exp per buff session ( village travel time from science OP to village), and with a tent outside the village on this server i pulled in over 2m-2.5m+ for a buff session.
setup, and whats needed
TKM / M.Commando / x1xx smuggler ( smug is optional I just used it for extra credits )
-Citrius snowcake ( accuracy food )
-40ish full crates 25 of imperial detonators
-a lot of thrown damage pups as well.
-thrown / accuracy tapes or combination of big, and small tapes, and gear to get to +25 each.
-enraged rancor missions only ( reason is that they have no blast damage resistance )
steps:
-arrive at mission usually 5-6 rancors outside the lair
-have a decent flame thrower, and use flame single 2 to break the lair and spawn a wave.
-switch to TK, and use COB
-move a bit to stack the rancors in 1 small clump on top of the lair to where they are on top of each other, and lair perfectly in one clump
-now throw 10-15 nades with pups till dead
-now enjoy seeing 40k+ combat experience per kill for an over cap to get 300k combat experience.
-now finish off lair with TK since you capped combat exp.
-now go turn your combat exp for 100k FS exp.
So basically with this method 1 enraged rancor mission = 1 turn in. Also if tent is literally outside the village fog. I like to get missions going easy so waypoint is within the fog, and then will update and spawn literally right outside the fog border on the other side, and makes it a convenient turn in route when going back to the terminal.
Hope this helped you, enjoy, and have fun!

This actually works REALLY well. 2.5 hr buff. I got roughly 3m FS xp and there was about 15 min getting feel for it. makes FS grinding ALOT easier. normally it'd take me 5-8 buff sessions to do all 6 branches with just swords, no dual profession. So heavily recommend this.

Re: Fresh Padawan Jedi grind guide + bonus village grind method.
I was wondering about the tents.
May I place a tent near the village and install a mission terminal?!
Could you please explain this part.
Thx a lot

There is an elite camp which is made from a limited use schematic which drops from the Antarian Ranger. There are 2 on Chandrila, and another 2 on Taanab. They can set up camp anywhere. Kill them, and get the schem. The schem has to be crafted by a master ranger, and can be placed by anyone with camping at level 65 (the camp line of scout and tapes will get you there.) You will then have a 100 minute tent with a mission terminal in. The schematic will make 15 tents.
