For those who need a guide on how to reset the windows defender settings for sremu.

From time to time you will have an issue pop up where your client will not seem to work after an update or content publish is done to the server. THis may require windows firewall permissions to be reset for the sremu launcher. Its really not as hard as it seems to a lot of people.

First in windows 10 there is a search bar usually on the bottom left of the task bar on your home screen.
it will look something like this
search 1.jpg
In this search box just type the word "defend" and you will get the following popup
search 2.jpg
at the very top of this popup you will right mouse click on the very top where it says "Windows Defender Settings"
You will get a popup something similar to this popup
defender main screen.jpg
at the top of this popup you will need to mouse click on the tab where it says "Open Windows Defender Security Center and that will bring up this popup window

On this popup window you will find the blue link towards the middle of the screen that says "allow an app through firewall" and mouse click on that link which will open the following popup screen

On this screen you will want to scroll down until you find a check box next to "Sentinels Republic Launcher". Next you will look up towards the top right and click on the button that says "Change Settings". then you will click on "sentinels Republic Launcher" which will then highlight this line. Next you click on the button that says remove towards the bottom right of this window. This has now removed sentinels republic launcher permission from windows defender and your launcher is now blocked from all internet access.

Due to forums settings on the number of attachments that can be added to a post a second tutorial is posted with instructions on how to add it back. "Windows defender setting tutorial - Readding SR Launcher to defender settings"
