How to fish in SWG

It's just come to my notice that some people haven't experienced the joy of fishing in SWG.
What do you need?
bait - If you have enough scout skill you can /forage and collect the jars of worm, grub or insect bait, alternatively you'll need to find a friendly ranger or buy some from the bazaar.
fishing rod - These can be made by artisans. As always - tools matter, rods max out at 100. The better the rod, the better the quality of your catch.
water - Find a patch of water with a good view. Be aware that different patches of water have different yields. There will be places with more fish - they may be worth finding. It is also worth making sure there are as few weeds and vegetation as possible. Clue: it tells you when you start fishing, don't assume there are no weeds just because you can't see any!
Can anyone fish?
Yes is the short answer. The quality and amount of fish will increase as you go up the scout / ranger lines. Grab a rod, find some water and prepare to fish.
How do I actually fish?
Stand by the water and equip your fishing rod.
Drag some bait onto your fishing rod and use the radial terminal to start fishing.
After that it's a case of looking at the status and deciding what to do next.
There are 5 choices: Tug Up, Tug Right, Tug Left, Small Reel-in, and Stop Fishing.
Catching a fish has three stages, 'nibble', 'bite or 'caught something'.
If you have a nibble...tug left or right, bite tug left or right or up, if you've caught something you need to do a small reel in.
IF you have caught something the catch will then reel in.
Be aware - bait will go soggy, and can fail. If you catch a fish you will lose a bit of bait. Once you have caught a fish or two you can fillet them assuming you have at least novice scout. The meat can be sold to chefs, you will also get chum which you can use as bait and you'll also get the fish to keep ( it retains the stats so you can still enter it for the largest/smallest fish)
