Encoded Disk – Treasure Map Loot Tracking
There are the encoded disk that you can loot. It comes within the junk loot pool and you can radial option on it and decode it into a treasure map. After doing so, the treasure map will be one of 3 treasure maps.
Ancient Starship – Located on Naboo
Bounty Hunter – Located on Talus
Pirate – Located on Corellia
You read the map and store the waypoint. When you get within 75m of the waypoint you radial the treasure map again to ‘Search the Area’. The you stand on the new waypoint and radial the treasure map ‘Extract Treasure’ which will spawn a container and enemies.
This question inevitably comes up once every two weeks.
Is there anything good to be gained by following the treasure maps in game?
To test this, I bought up as many as the encoded disks I could on the Bazaar and set characters to looting encoded disks until I could decode 100 from each location. As you can imagine, it took a while. Just decoding does not seem to be a 30% chance. I did not track the decoding chances. However, I ended up with about 65 extra pirate treasure maps and some extra ancient starship maps before finally achieving all 300 of each.
The rest was time consuming but simple, I ran 100 treasure maps at each location and kept the loot.
I did not keep all loot. Loot I classified as junk loot (clothing, recording rods, shisha) I did not keep and did not track. I kept track of all tapes. There were a lot of crystals but I found them all to be poor quality and regular color crystals so I chose not to track those either.
Summary:
Bounty Hunter
20 – [AA]s
25 – [CA]s
5 – Modules [Common]
[AA]s
Ancient Starship
16 – [AA]s
22 – [CA]s
3 – Modules [Common]
3 – Schematics
[AA]s
Pirate
18 – [AA]s
20 – [CA]s
10 – Locked Briefcase
2 – Modules [Common]
3 – Schematics
[AA]s
[CA]s
Conclusion
Aside from the Sarlacc trash can Schematics, there really wasn’t much worth in running them. 10% drop rate on locked briefcases for the pirates is pretty good but at the same time, it may be faster to set up an AFK foraging macro to get them that way.

Summary:
- Among the [AA]s and [CA]s looted, they ranked between 1-6 in level.
Jedi State Defense, and LS tapes were among them.
For modules, only common modules were looted.
Both the Ancient Starship and Pirate loot generated 1 Sarlacc Trashcan schematic
