crafting stations

is there any use to experimenting on these to improve them? Will a buyer see any improvement using a SB station vs. a public one?

There is no impact of the quality of the crafting station on later crafts, so there's no advantage to experimenting on it.
The tool is the part that holds the key to getting the best results.
