When do Babies become Cowboys?

How long does it take for critter babies to become adults? I've had several that I tamed over 3 months ago that are still babies but have gotten a bit larger.

All pets start out as a baby, or CL1. It takes 5 real life days for the pet to reach full CL (specifically, the pet starts at 10% ham and grows 10% every 12 hours which is 4.5 days, but I rounded up). You don't have to log in or call the pet during those 5 days, the pet will grow no matter what. But if you want to monitor its growth, you will need to call your pet from your datapad, click something else in your datapad, and then select your pet again in the datapad to see the updated stats in the datapad view window.

The baby creatures will keep the name (baby) until you rename it, even if they are full grown. You can name your pet using the Train command. To do this you will need to add the pet's desired name to the command when you train it. For example, select Train then Follow from the radial menu, and finish up by typing Spike follow in your Chat Input bar. Then select Train again and choose Attack. Type Spike attack in the Chat Input bar. Do this for four different commands and your pet's name will change from a dewback (baby) to Spike. Sometimes you will need to train a command more than once if you see ????????? over the pet's head. Commands that are successfully trained display a ! over the pet's head.
