Master Smuggler and Slicing

Is there any (or significant) improvement to slicing for a Master Smuggler Vs. Having only the Slicing tree?

I just recently leveled my Smuggler up I am maxed out with my build except slicing tree. I am torn if I'm going to keep the points for it though.
Only reason I'd keep some of the slicing tree would be for terminals.
But the points I'd gain wouldn't really be enough to throw anywhere else in my opinion. So probably going to get the skills just to have the Master Smuggler badge.

Then I'll tinker with my oval build
Right now I've got the common Smuggler build
Smuggler still have slicing to do..
Master Pistoleer
Master TK

Been planning on going with a buld that is totally Pistol based mixed with
Master Pistoleer
Smuggler x1x4xx
Bounty Hunter 44xx
As my elite professions

Dodge is huge and Pistols and very pumped up
BH to take missions (PVE)
Smuggler to slice a BH terminal
Pistoleer to destroy
But that further down the line.

So to answer your question I think at least slicing 1 would be the highest I'd use unless its something I couldn't go without

There is an unspecified bonus at Master for slicing.

I believe that you are more likely to get a higher percentage slice more consistently. If you are going to slice a lot of armour and weapons that's a definite advantage.
