ARTICLE I. INTRODUCTION AND GENERAL PRINCIPLES
Section 1.01. Purpose and Scope.
A. These Sentinels Republic / Sentinels Republic 2 (hereinafter "SR") Official Rules and Regulations (hereinafter "Rules") establish the standards of conduct required for all players, staff, and contractors participating in or utilizing any SR-controlled platform. This includes, but is not limited to, the in-game environment, the SR Discord server, and any associated forums or communication channels.
B. The primary purpose of these Rules is to ensure that SR maintains a fair, safe, and enjoyable environment for all members of its community.
C. By accessing, playing, or otherwise utilizing any SR platform or service, all individuals explicitly agree to abide by and be bound by these Rules.

Section 1.02. Interpretation and Enforcement Authority.
A. While these Rules provide clear examples of prohibited conduct, it is inherently impossible to enumerate every specific attempt to circumvent or violate these Rules, or any Rules deemed necessary in the future.
B. Community Support Representatives (CSRs) and members of the SR Senior Team (hereinafter "Staff") shall retain ultimate and sole authority to interpret and apply these Rules to any specific scenario, including determining appropriate actions, sanctions, or exceptions, on a case-by-case basis.
C. Staff decisions regarding the interpretation and enforcement of these Rules shall be final, subject only to the appeal process outlined in Section 5.03 (Dispute Resolution and Appeal Process).

Section 1.03. Guiding Principle.
A. All players are encouraged to foster a positive community environment by exercising kindness and respect towards others in all forms of communication (verbal, text/chat/forum/Discord) and during all gameplay actions.

Section 1.04. Player Responsibility.
A. All players are individually responsible for familiarizing themselves with these Rules and any subsequent updates thereto. Ignorance of these Rules shall not be a defense for non-compliance.


ARTICLE II. ACCOUNTS AND CHARACTERS
Section 2.01. Original SWG Client Requirement.
A. In order to access and/or use any SR game server, players shall legally own a valid licensed copy of one of the following versions of Star Wars Galaxies:
  1. Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided
  2. Star Wars Galaxies: Starter Kit
  3. Star Wars Galaxies: Total Experience
  4. Star Wars Galaxies: Complete Adventures Online
B. At any time, SR staff may request Proof of Ownership of one of the above legal copies from players accessing any SR game server. Failure to provide valid Proof of Ownership may result in disciplinary consequences as determined by Staff. (see Section 5.02)

Section 2.02. Account and Character Naming Conventions.
A. The use of any language prohibited under Section 3.02.A (Harassment) or Section 3.02.B (Language Usage) for account names, character names, building names, or object names is strictly prohibited.
B. The use of names or references, whether direct or indirect, that are religious, political, or refer to controversial historical figures or events, is forbidden.
C. The use of official Star Wars™ Character names is prohibited
D. SR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any name and to require a player to change it without prior notice.

Section 2.03. Account Registration and Usage.
A. Accounts shall be created exclusively via the SR2 account registration form available at https://sr2.swgsremu.com/registration.
B. A maximum of one (1) game account per IP address may be created, unless an explicit exception for multi-account households has been granted by Staff.
C. Each account shall provide three (3) character slots, with a maximum of two (2) characters permitted to be online concurrently from a single account.
D. To apply for a multi-account household exception for additional legitimate players residing at the same IP address, the designated form must be completed: https://sentinelsrepublic2.atlassian.ne ... r/portal/1.
  1. Fraudulent use of multiple accounts by a single household player or falsely representing household members to gain an advantage by using more than one account is strictly prohibited.
E. Account Sharing. The sharing of accounts between multiple individuals is strictly prohibited.
F. Account Mass Creating/Deleting. The practice of repeatedly deleting and creating characters to gain starter credits or equipment is prohibited.

Section 2.04. Bug Abuse and Hacking.
A. Hacking, the abuse of any bugs or glitches, duplicating (duping) items, or the abuse of any in-game system for unintended advantage is strictly prohibited.
B. Offenders caught exploiting any such vulnerabilities shall have their access suspended for a period of time as determined by Staff. Subsequent offenses shall result in increased penalties, up to and including permanent account termination.
C. If any bug or exploit is identified, players are obligated to report it immediately using the designated “Bug” channel on the SR Discord server. Reports shall be as descriptive as possible to facilitate investigation.

Section 2.05. In-Game Auctions and Trading.
A. All trading, buying, selling, and service announcements within the game shall primarily utilize the designated Auction Channel.
B. Macros used for announcements shall be concise and simple (e.g., "I am providing Ent (0%) and/or Doc (0.0k, 0hrs, 0k credits) at (City) on (planet), (waypoint).").
C. A minimum pause of five (5) minutes (/pause 300) shall be observed between all repeated macro announcements.
D. While the Auction Channel is recommended for service announcements, buff bots may utilize spatial chat, tells, or group chat.

Section 2.06. Real Money Trading (RMT).
A. The trading of characters, in-game currency, accounts, in-game items, or anything related to the SR server for real-world money or equivalents is strictly prohibited.


ARTICLE III. RULES OF CONDUCT
Section 3.01. General Gameplay Conduct Violations.
A. All players are expected to respect one another by refraining from disruptive actions in-game. Prohibited acts include, but are not limited to:
  1. Content Gatekeeping. Players shall share in-game content and shall not prevent other players from accessing such content. a. Parking or "camping" characters at Points of Interest (POIs), instances, or dungeons for the purpose of loot domination or denying access to content.
  2. Kill Stealing. Players shall respect engagements initiated by other players and shall not interfere with an ongoing mob destruction unless explicitly invited. Prohibited acts include, but are not limited to: a. "Swooping in" at the end of a combat encounter to out-damage engaged players and unfairly acquire kill credit or loot. b. Interrupting an active Bounty Hunter (BH) hunt by intentionally stealing the kill credit from the BH.
  3. Taunting. While competitive in-game taunts may be a part of the game's design, excessive, malicious, or sustained taunting that serves to provoke, mock, or disrespect an opponent is prohibited.
  4. Griefing. Players shall not deliberately act in ways that disrupt, harass, or otherwise diminish the intended game experience for other players or guilds. Prohibited acts include, but are not limited to:
    • 4-a. Camping, blocking, or physically trapping other players.
    • 4-b. "Training" (leading) hostile mobs onto other players.
    • 4-c. Shooting through base floors/ceilings.
    • 4-d. Engaging in "Bounty Clearing" (systematic removal of bounties on a character to prevent legitimate BH engagement).
    • 4-e. Engaging in "Bounty Hunter (BH) Tracking" (Use of a BH for systematic observation or pursuit of a target to disrupt their legitimate PvP/PvE activities).
    • 4-f. Engaging in "Planet Lockdown" (e.g., continuously camping a vital location such as the Lok starport, thereby restricting ingress or egress).
    • 4-g. Initiating "Mass Reporting" (coordinated reporting of a player or group without legitimate grounds).
  5. Exploiting the use of a bug, glitch, or unintended feature of the game to gain a significant and unfair advantage over other players or to subvert intended game design is prohibited. Prohibited exploits include, but are not limited to:
    • 5-a. Using alternate characters (alts) to intentionally spawn opposing faction missions during Player-versus-Player (PvP) engagements to gain assistance from Faction Non-Player Characters (NPCs).
    • 5-b. Repeatedly dropping, picking up, and re-dropping a base structure to intentionally spawn new NPCs or turrets.
    • 5-c. Dueling an alt and having the alt intentionally spam a deathblow ability on the main character to steal the deathblow credit from a Bounty Hunter or enemy overt player, thereby denying them the legitimate kill.
    • 5-d. Shooting NPCs or Players through walls, doors, or from a rooftop to avoid direct combat or gain an unfair advantage.
    • 5-e. Placing structures (such as base turrets) in a manner that prevents legitimate and defensible access during loading screens.
Section 3.02. Communication and Respectful Conduct.
A. Harassment. Players shall not engage in repeated, unwelcome behavior intended to annoy, distress, or threaten another player. Harassment extends beyond single negative interactions or competitive "trash talk" and constitutes a sustained pattern of abuse. Harassment can occur in-game or on the SR Discord server, and applies to interactions with both players and Staff. Prohibited forms of harassment include, but are not limited to:
  1. Hate Speech: Remarks, jokes, or comments relating to protected characteristics such as race, sex, sexuality, gender, physical or mental health needs, religion, or political belief. This includes comments that reinforce the marginalization of individuals or groups.
  2. Verbal or Non-Verbal Abuse: Name-calling, insults, gossiping, shaming, belittling, or transmitting offensive messages.
  3. Stalking and Doxing: Unwanted following across platforms, or publicly sharing someone’s personal identifiable information without their express consent.
  4. Real or Perceived Power Imbalance Abuse: Repeated actions, whether in-game or across multiple platforms, that threaten or victimize a player or Staff member, particularly those leveraging perceived influence or knowledge (e.g., comments such as “I’ll get you banned because I know x”, or encouraging guild members to torment another player).
  5. Sexual Content: Sexualized name-calling, derogatory comments, sexual propositions, or comments related to criminal acts. Use of terms such as "rape" in any context is strictly prohibited.
B. Language Usage. Language considered vulgar or falling within the prohibitions of Section 3.02.A (Harassment) shall not be used.
C. Spamming, including but not limited to, advertising non-SR websites or servers, sending unsolicited private messages to players regarding other servers or using excessive in-game macros, is prohibited. Any observed spam should be reported to Staff. Capturing spam with a recording is ideal to provide the evidence needed (For example: to use the Snipping Tool in video recording mode on Windows, use the keyboard shortcut Win + Shift + R).
D. In-Game Auctions and Trading.
  1. All trading, buying, selling, and service announcements within the game shall primarily utilize the designated Auction Channel.
  2. Macros used for announcements shall be concise and simple (e.g., "I am providing Ent (0%) and/or Doc (0.0k, 0hrs, 0k credits) at (City) on (planet), (waypoint).").

E. Publicly Sharing Private Conversations. Publicly sharing any private conversation in which you have participated, without the express consent of all involved parties, is prohibited.

Section 3.03. Player-versus-Player (PvP) Engagements.
A. The accepted SR PvP agreement is "Red is dead" at any time. If a player is attackable (overt or flagged), they may be attacked regardless of their current activity or guild affiliation.
B. It is acceptable for PvP engagements to occur between players multiple times within a single day.
C. All other Rules and Regulations set forth herein shall continue to apply during PvP engagements.
D. Players shall not engage in agreements to kill other characters for the sole purpose of gaining credits, faction standing, PvP rating, or to be removed from terminals. Such actions shall be considered an exploit and treated as such.
E. Players may request access to utilize "The Pit 2" for designated "Trash Talk" PvP environments. E. PvP Event Exception. The only exception to the "Red is dead" PvP agreement is for players actively attending live hosted SR2 events, and for a period of five (5) minutes immediately following the Event Coordinator's (EC) announcement of the event's conclusion.

Section 3.04. Guilds.
A. Players may choose to form or belong to player-created groups known as guilds, which may be focused on Player-versus-Player (PvP), Player-versus-Environment (PvE), or both.
B. Any internal issues within a guild should primarily be handled by the Guild Leader, who shall act as a liaison between said guild and Staff. Guild Leaders may reach out to the Community Lead for assistance as needed.

Section 3.05. Staff Impersonation.
A. Players who impersonate Staff members shall face severe consequences. Staff are identifiable by their official tags (e.g., Helper, CSI, EC, CSR, Admin, QA, Dev) in the SR Discord server and in-game.

Section 3.06. Reporting Violations and Issues.
A. Reporting Gameplay Conduct Violations. Users observing a person violating these Rules shall utilize the "Complaints" form located on the Support Portal page (https://sentinelsrepublic2.atlassian.ne ... r/portal/1). Capturing gameplay conduct violations with a recording is ideal to provide the evidence needed for investigation.
B. Reporting Minor Issues. Players experiencing minor in-game or platform-related issues, including but not limited to, a "stuck" character, requests for name changes, player verification, or recurring spam, should contact a Community Support Intern (CSI) or Community Support Representative (CSR) directly via the SR Discord application.
C. Evidence Submission (Recommended).
  1. It is highly recommended that the person reporting an issue provide supporting evidence, such as screenshots and/or video recordings, for further investigation by Staff.
  2. Users may utilize commonly available software or tools, including but not limited to Snipping Tool, Gamebar, OBS, Afterburner, Xsplit, Shadowplay, Fraps, or similar applications, to record video or capture screenshots of the reported issue.
  3. For video evidence that exceeds the Support Portal's or other platform's file size limitations, users are advised to upload the video to a third-party video hosting platform (e.g., YouTube) and provide the direct link to the uploaded content within their report.

ARTICLE IV. SR DISCORD SERVER GUIDANCE
Section 4.01. Channel Usage.
A. Users shall post content in the correct designated channel (e.g., trade requests belong in trade-forum).
B. Discussions shall remain on the topic pertinent to the channel. Users wishing to discuss other topics shall move to a different topic-specific channel or to non-swg-chat.

Section 4.02. Constructive Criticism.
A. Posting constructive criticism is permitted. Discussion with other players or Staff members is acceptable; however, making personal comments or attacks is prohibited. The general conduct rules and regulations set forth in Article III shall apply.

Section 4.03. Content Restrictions.
A. Users shall assist in maintaining a clean and appropriate environment within the SR Discord server by not posting links to phishing sites, spam, or re-posting closed, modified, or deleted content.
B. Inappropriate content shall be reported to a Staff member. C. The following topics are strictly prohibited, including through external links:
  1. Pornographic, excessively graphic ("gross stuff"), or any Not-Safe-For-Work (NSFW) content.
  2. Discussions or links related to cheating, hacking, or game exploits.
  3. Threats of violence or harassment, even if presented as a joke.
  4. Soliciting, begging, auctioning, selling, advertising, or referrals.
  5. Content related to racism, discrimination, religion, politics, or any other topics prone to significant argument or division.
Section 4.04. Privacy.
A. Users shall keep all personally identifiable information private (e.g., name, address, email, phone number, or other social media links that could reveal real-life identity).
B. SR Staff shall never request a user's password. Users shall never provide their password to any individual.


ARTICLE V. CONSEQUENCES AND ENFORCEMENT
Section 5.01. Discretionary Enforcement.
A. All consequences for violations of these Rules shall be decided on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Staff.

Section 5.02. Examples of Consequences.
A. The following are examples of actions that may be taken by Staff in response to rule violations, progressing in severity:
  1. Informal Reminder: The player(s) in question are provided with general reminders regarding expected conduct.
  2. Formal Warning: The player(s) in question receive a formal warning detailing the specific Rules that have been violated. Repeated warnings shall result in escalation to further action.
  3. Corrective Action: The player(s) in question are instructed to relocate structures or alter player positioning.
  4. Temporary Restriction: The player(s)' characters may be frozen or muted in-game, and/or their SR Discord access may be temporarily removed for a short period (e.g., 1-7 days) to allow for reflection and Staff review.
  5. Temporary Suspension: The player(s)' SR Discord access may be removed and/or their game access may be suspended for a defined period, ranging from twenty-four (24) hours up to one (1) month. Such actions shall be discussed and agreed upon by the Admin Staff.
  6. Permanent Termination: In severe or repeated cases, the player(s)' account may be permanently deleted, their IP address banned from SR services, and they may be permanently removed from any and all platforms under SR's control. This action shall be discussed and agreed upon by the Admin Staff prior to its implementation.
Section 5.03. Dispute Resolution and Appeal Process.
A. If a player feels that a consequence was an error or was unjust, the player shall utilize the "Complaints" form located on the Support Portal page (https://sentinelsrepublic2.atlassian.ne ... r/portal/1) to initiate an appeal.

Section 5.04. Staff Interaction.
A. Harassing Staff about decisions made regarding another player's conduct shall not be tolerated and may result in immediate disciplinary action against the harassing player. B. If a player wishes to discuss a decision made by Staff regarding their own conduct, they shall do so privately and in a calm and respectful manner through official channels.

Section 5.05. Review and Content Removal.
A. Initial disciplinary actions may be reviewed and extended following discussion by the Admin Team.
B. SR reserves the right to remove any content that contravenes these Rules.

Section 5.06. Data Sharing.
A. SR reserves the right to share IP addresses and account names with owners of other legitimate game servers for the purpose of maintaining a safe and fair gaming environment across the broader community.


ARTICLE VI. DISCLAIMERS
Section 6.01. Rules Subject to Change.
A. These Rules are subject to change, modification, or amendment at any time, without prior warning or notification. Players are advised to regularly review this document for updates.

Section 6.02. Trading Risk.
A. SR shall not be responsible for losses incurred due to in-game scams. Players engage in trading at their own risk.

Section 6.03. Password Security.
A. SR Staff shall never ask for a player's password. Players shall never provide their password to any individual.
