Does this mean that each segment will require the exact same resource no matter the armor type? Will there still be separate segments for each armor type? And if something has a weakness for X,Y, or Z, can an enhancement be added to counter-act that "hole", such as a Rancor Hided that adds Heat protection?
Yes segments will be standardized across all armor types, some of the named resources from the advanced segments might move into the armor itself. Such as bronzium iron required in advanced mabari segment, would be moved into mabari itself (which has no named resource requirements).

The current thought is:
Standard Segment = Composite Segment
Advanced Segment = Advanced Composite Segment
Experimental Segment = RIS Segment

You will be able to fill the weaknesses with either layers or drops (such as rancor hides), just as you are now.

Resource Audit update
Hi all, the following post contains a few stats regarding the resource audit upgrade.

These numbers reflect the number of additional resource spawns when compared to our old spawns. Ex: After the audit, aluminum_agrinium spawned an additional 19 times over the same time span.

Resource spawns were sped up by a factor of 48 for testing purposes (average duration 3 hours compared to 6 days) and has been running for a little while. We are still fine-tuning the spawns, but this will give you all an idea of how the resources are weighted. I've chosen to leave out native pool spawns (stuff like flora that's always in spawn on a planet).

JTL resources (steel_bicorbantium, steel_arveshian, aluminum_perovskitic, copper_borocarbitic, fiberplast_gravitonic, gas_reactive_organometallic, ore_siliclastic_fermionic, radioactive_polymetric, iron_hemalite, aluminum_galvanicyn, copper_cagunese, ore_extrusive_maganite, ore_intrusive_galatite, ore_carbonate_calabite, gas_inert_rylon) are calculated separately and were not effected by this audit.

Any feedback is appreciated, this is the time to speak up if something looks out of place!

That is how many more times each spawned in the same time frame compared to how they spawned before.

This is Great stuff, I'm not quite sure I fully understand how the resources are weighted in Tiny's post, i.e. armophous_plexite spawned 11 times in 'X' period, or armophous_plexite spawned at a rate 11 times faster/more often in 'X' period than in previous models, but I think I can speak for many of us when I say "Thank you for all of your hard work on this, it is greatly appreciated". :D

The first. The numbers are the times x resource spawned in the testing period.

So, I notice there are some new resources spawning, i.e. aluminum_galvanicyn, are these server specific, and are they going to be part of the new armor update?

I hope neutral BH's never end up on the terminals. All that will do is allow Jedi more free reign and they already have plenty of that. BH's will change their templates just to fight BH's templated to hunt Jedi.

People rolled Jedi expecting to get hunted. Other people rolled BH's to hunt, not get hunted.

If player bounties are implemented I hope only BH's with a minimum of investigation 3 can only take the missions. If that is the case the pay would have to be better to fight a swords defense stacker or similar because more than 2 BH's would be needed.

The ability to hunt a neutral BH would be a deal breaker for me and I would imagine for many other BH's.

Put in a server announcement so when someone collects a bounty or someone defeats the attacker everyone can see it. Warfront does this and it's pretty cool to see someone's name up there in lights. Also, I'm not for having neutral BH's put on the terms although I could see where people will complain about it.
If you're afraid to get put on the new bounty system (a few have made comments about it) then don't do anything that'll get you put up there in the first place like rolling a Jedi. Hunt or be hunted - it's pretty simple really. Casual play is for WoW and SWTOR. SWG has always promoted PvP so if you don't like to PvP then this isn't the game for you.

I beg to differ. I don't like PvP and I love this game.
