I want to start by saying that I love this server and the staff here. I have no complaints there and this is not to be taken as a complaint post.

I have recently totally completed my template on Jedi and have even dropped my FS skills so fighting a BH is no big deal to me. I could care less about loosing XP at this point. The problem I have is with the BHs that I have fought over the last few days. Not the players themselves but with the level of disparity between a Jedi and a BH. As a full template Jedi, I have not been able to damage them at all. Not to mention the weapons that they are using are so powerful with the wounds that I spend the majority of the fight healing wounds.

I played a BH on live and remember that for a BH to take a full template Jedi it was a serious challenge. Most of the time you needed two BH to take a MD / MLS Jedi. This is the soul reason that BHs can have three people with the same mission on Jedi. Jedi are supposed to be a challenge. A three BH vs a single Jedi was supposed to be a fair and even battle. I totally understand that not everyone likes the fact that a Jedi is supposed to be an alpha class but right now we are nowhere near that. It is a shame when I would settle with a 50/50 chance against a single BH. Heck, I would like a 10% chance right now. I feel like right now there is no challenge for me when fighting a BH. I can’t damage them, I can’t land states on them, and basically all I can do is heal myself. Yeah I can survive for a good 10 to 15 mins against a BH but again, if I can’t damage them then there really is no chance at all of me winning the fight.

Add to this the fact that we have the FRS coming and how are Jedi supposed to progress within the FRS without being able to actually kill BH. I know that they can also kill Jedi but we all know that 99% of the PVP that currently takes place on the server is BH vs Jedi.

This is not only my own perspective either. I have spoken with every Jedi within our guild and we all see the same things. A max template and tapped Jedi can’t compete against a max template and tapped BH. Again this is not a complaint post but simply me trying to express my concerns. If we want the server to grow and be healthy and have a PVP experience, there has to be some sort of balance between Jedi vs BH.

A couple of other points. On live I know it was discussed many times to move the ability for BH to hunt Jedi to the MBH box. This may be an option but would need some testing obviously.

Another thing on live is that Jedi had a 2 hour window after getting killed by a BH where they could not get put back on the terminals. That is not the case here. From what I can tell there is little to no timer before we are back on the terminals. This needs to be adjusted. Getting killed 2-4 times in a couple of hours, especially fora Jedi that is grinding his boxes is quite painful.

i agree with gordlad on this subject i saw as phoenix went down because of this subject you guys are great and I love this server and I would hate to see it go the same way. So i Third this.

I can beat most BHs on the server, Tiny I cant beat with my current build I would have to respecc for it, I lost fighting 2 BHs recently, but I gave them a fair fight, i.e just stood there and tried to defeat toe-to-toe, but if it was for real I would have used different tactics to win, such as FR1 and separating the two from one another. For these melee BHs u have to wear them down, u wont be able to just kill them like a NPC target, u have to manage your force wisely and wear down their food cycle. You can win, but that may mean changing tactics and changing builds.

Tiny and friends have added a lot to make jedi more viable, you should have seen it when we started on this server! Haha. Jedi has a little more toughness, lots of other really well-implemented tweaks, and definitely better than basilisk!!!!

It could certainly use some more tweaks here and there absolutely!!!! I think the general consensus is that everyone is waiting to tweak it more until frs is implemented and the effects that it will have on everything is known. I would vote for heal delay reduction and channel delay reduction, 3 secs is a long time in pvp haha and would help pretty much all jedi a little.

I don't think bh should be "moved to the mbh box" as someone proposed. I think leaving it as it is really is good since it gives bh's some diversity and so every fight isn't the same. What I've witnessed in my guild is pretty much every bh has a weakness and is beatable 1 vs 1 with the right template, luck, etc etc. some fights are rediculously long tho (like over an hour). Balancing is about baby steps tho, and I believe this dev team has a very good handle it.

The 2 hour immunity window, meh. Seems like it would have a lot of sploit potential like having a friend collect your bounty so you could farm nightsisters or whatever. You can always do critters and not have to worry about it.

Another thing, since our guild has a lot of the bounty hunters. I think you would find there were lots fewer bounty hunters if the rebels engaged us in more interesting pvp. Most bh's that hunt in my guild are pvp-staved and really looking for some engagement. I obviously can't speak for everyone, but just an observation. PvP? Where!!! They aren't like Jarl, hudas, and Alien who live for BH (well i think one or two do), they mainly just want some pvp interaction.

O and there is the upcoming player bounties (or so goes the rumor). That will be a blast when the bh's can be pursued by other bh's when they are hunting their jedi buddies. We had that on another server BEAST was on, and was oodles of fun! Just think of the fun when Mirabelle and Tiny grabs your mission and your bh-guildie friend takes one of their mission and cuts them down laughing gleefully and evening the odds. MMMM good times.

The timers do not need to be shortened, and the Jedi themselves should not be unbeatable. Just because someone has a Jedi does not mean they should be able to two hit a bounty hunter. The game can be a game of chess, and you should treat it that way.

you all have missed the point of this post i for one have pretty much quit playing my jedi because like he says we have a 5% chance of winning in a 1 on 1 thats not even close to how live was . I have been hunted by 2 bh at the same time that fight was over in less then 15 secs i could not heal fast enough and if i am healing i am not doing any dmg at all . His Real point is you cant even hit the BH . you say out last there food how pie last 23 mins and its filling is gone before then so they can just pie again same with brandy . and that does not even matter we can not even hit them i have mls and 25 tapes to all saber acc and still cant hit or land states at all . i for one am not gona fight someone for more then 1 hour that is just boring and not fun pvp . you can say then this pvp is not for you that is fine .
but not being able to even hit a target is the big issue. When they can sit there and land 600- 1400 dmg dots with 300-600 dmg disease that just wound you to death besides the kd and perma dizzy i have seen some jedi face . in live like he said a 1 on 1 vs a jedi it took skill for the bh to win here its not skill its just biggest dot psg and food repeat till jedi has no force .

you know if you guys knew half the wacky things that happen you .. wouldn't be so concerned. Seriously though maybe make an effort to come watch the fights in potatoes. Veruca has chairs up usually.
