Capture Enemy Leadership FS quest question

So I am curious to know if anyone has completed the force sensitive mission “Capture Enemy Leadership” ? (The one that unlocks the Combat Prowess: Melee Accuracy skill line for training)… And if so what was your process?

So far I have had 3 failed attempts… a group of 4 people each running 2-3 toons. 3 Master CH’s with wompa’s, 2 Master Doc’s, master Dancer, master musician and misc melee toons.

Every attempt has had complete group wipes (usually more than one) or close to, usually because of a group of thugs spawning on top of us.

The first attempt was only two of us, 3 toons. Two Master CH’s with wompa’s and my FS master Fencer. We took out one turret and part of the second before we got spawned on and wiped. Judging our progress and time spent we determined we would need more help and decided to wait till we could coordinate help.
The second attempt after several hours of work, ended with the base resetting (we had wiped out all the turrets and all the gates) we working on the 5, when one of the CH’s got agro, he was doing the pulling and was off to the side. No big deal he went down, everyone else was fine just stood off from the base in about the same spot we all had been these past few hours. Ran him back from the science station. But when he made it back (he was not the FS character mind you, she was still with the group) the whole base was reset.
Now all 4 of us being Dad’s with families we didn’t have the time to drop another 3 hours, so we planned our third attempt.
Third attempt we found a good spot no one spawned on top of us (we still had a few wipes, but with two master docs we kept separated from the rest of the group [and each other] they were able to do rez packs on everyone). But after several hours we managed to get all the turrets, gates and our 5 guys. Commander spawned, ran in and got him right away (he did the crunch poison thing) lead him out to our camp tried a speeder, was obvious in a second or two that he wouldn’t keep up... On foot it is. From base Iota (because those were the shield codes I had) 6k and change meters back to the village. So on foot it is, with my three interceptors / escorts. We were jumped three or four times, each time one of my escorts intercepted and grabbed the group before they got close enough to peel him away from me. Myself and my other two escorts continued to run ( so a continues run , I never stopped… each time one of my escorts peeled of dealt with the ambushers and caught back up on a speeder). The commander died at 3k meters from the village (so about half way of a continues non interrupted run). Mission Failed

If that amount of time is constant from his “crunch” to death, of the ~25 bases that spawn only 3 are viable … (at the present assuming they still randomly change names according to this guide https://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapboo ... 127174504/ ) they would be Alpha, Beta and Gamma .. ~2200 meters, ~2900 meter and ~3006 meters from the village. (So now we are talking not only farming base codes but specific base codes that are close enough to make the run across Dathomir’s up and down surface and avoiding aggressive mobs).

So I am curious to know if anyone has successfully done this and what their process was, which base they completed it from?
As I am not sure I can ask my friends to commit another 3-4 hours of time, energy and frustration only to end with another failed attempt.

I've done this quest quite a few times, and the trick is to spam loot the datadisks for a really close base. You can turn in multiples at the same time to uncover which ones you've looted. Once you get a good set of codes (Delta, Gamma, Beta, Kappa, Xi <- my favorite since there are no trees or hills), use Blast Damage (Hammers or Launcher Pistols) to take out the turrets one at a time in between the mass spawns. Then capture the Commander and run back to the village (having +20 terrain negotiation regardless of having scout or not makes a huge difference) popping Burst Run whenever it's up and just ignoring the Sith that spawn on the way. They will disengage, turn white, and leave you alone if you just keep running. Avoiding aggros, and you can make it back in about 15 to 30 minutes in most cases from the closest bases. The timer is set to an hour in order for the Commander not to die from the poison.

Thanks Ilkist. I knew you'd have some top tips. I'd also suggest that when you have base locations that you ask in galaxy chat. There are usually a couple of players who will switch over to come and help out with this quest as it is definitely the most challenging quest to do. Good luck.
