Hello there,
While I was meditating on what to choose from the elite professions.... considering BH, commando or smuggler - somehow ended up leveling the pistoleer... I have heard a rumor hat some abilities are broken in swgemu and wondering if that’s true here as well?
Also would Master Pistoleer be a viable choice for high end mobs, missions etc?

Interested in this as well.
I know in the original game even with the numerous broken abilities pistoleer was possible with the right gear, but it would be a vast improvement if the abilities worked

So far from what I can see, the Double Tap seems to be working OK so is the Pistol Melee Defense (situational though - was never able to succeed using it on some tougher mobs - must be resisting) while Disarming Shot seems to be broken... Dodge seems to be also working. But with all this I have no idea on how it'll behave on higher level things... as well as PVP (I recall for PVP it was always viable in the past)...

Thats good to know, I was considering going up the BH pistols tree to cap out on speed and pickup Eye Shot for PvP. Would be awesome if the character could also do some End-Game content too.
I am sort of torn Between BH or Novice Commando for the Launcher Pistol...

Hopefully there are some Master Pistoleers out there who can help us with that assessment
My few cents on the build - If you going to be running solo, might also look into getting some basic Medic skills for self-healing with those stimpacks.
Long time ago... I was running Master Commando for EK tanking and PVP - was really good (I can't recall details on my spec though - it has been more than 10 years back lol).

Yeah, I was secretly hoping that maybe the Med Use CAs worked now, and you could bypass the 15 skill points from a Medic dip. It seems like they may still be bugged/disabled.

They do have med skill required to use... A and B just need 5 points where C could be 30... depends on how those stims were crafted... could be less.

Pistols is very viable for end game content but you need a decent gun. A scatter with 500ish max plus damage would easily break Krayts, Dark Jedi, NS Elders etc. Just need to get some kiting skills and you're all good.
