Compass Guide

Greetings fellow players,

Time to get ready for the new patch which also bring us the coveted worn compass!

Time to dust off your Master Ranger, find someplace serene, and start foraging. Forage-forage-forage-forage-forage... and delete all the stuff you don't want while doing that, eventually you'll get a damage compass frame.

Now that you have a frame, you'll need to whip out your trusty Weapon, Droid and General Item Crafting Tool and craft a worn compass. Mats are listed, quality doesn't matter, do not need a station, so craft anywhere! I prefer near a nerf herd.

Once you have your lovely worn compass

Head to your nearest mission terminal. Just go to that city everyone tells you to go to. You know the one. If you don't, ask in SR Galaxy Chat someone will tell you. Oh and use your compass from your inventory.

Once at a mission terminal, bring up the radial - you'll notice some new additions.

You can set you mission level now, this means you can take missions that normal would require magic not even available to the Jedi. Choose your direction, set your mission level.

Yes Virginia, you can now take Borvos missions without tomfoolery!

And there you have it, mission direction, mission level, all pointing in the right direction.

And, I know you'll ask, so, yes you can slice and compass at the same time! You don't need to be a master ranger to use the compass, only to craft it. Currently there is a way to tell how many uses you have left of choosing direction (on the summary), Master Rangers do not currently lose uses, this may or may not remain as it is.

However...please note that when you USE the compass for the first time it disappears from your inventory. However when you use a mission terminal it will tell you how many uses you have left.

I have master ranger and I have foraged a compass frame.
I have a generic crafting tool but I dont see the compass scematic.
Which tool is needed to make these please?

Yep all single use, you don't get an option to make a schematic

Is the Worn Compass still a thang with the recent changes? I just made master ranger and have a few compass frames and was thinking of making a few. If so, what's the value of a worn compass?

Yes they are still a thing. I think they are pretty standard. There should be a market for them. Check the bazaar for prices.

I was going to post last night but it was later then I expected when I logged off. Yes, there is a market and found plenty available. Cheaper then then it would take me to gather the resources and make myself.... so I bought a couple. May build some at a later date once I expend my hunting endeavors.
