Is there a way to buff at the village itself like there is in the major starter cities or to get any buffs do we have to go and get them and come back each time?

Like for the visibility, you can make game always easier.
- a buffcenter close to your corelian house.
- a Teleporter direct to Aurilia.
- Lair pop in the secure area of Aurilia.
- No Crystals/pearls decay,
- No visibility.

If you can find a ranger to place an elite camp I believe that docs and ents can buff there.

Whether you can persuade a doc /ent to come out is another matter. On balance it's probably easier to get buffs and then go.
